Where does it say "currently unavailable"? When I look, Book Depository says "ships within 48 hours" and amazon says "In Stock".

Alatar's link says Unavailable. If I search, it shows me the one with the US release date, even if I go to the UK site.

The link on the last page? I still can't find "Currently unavailable" anywhere on the page

I wondered about that...

Can you order from amazon.co.uk?

So at this moment on amazon.ca the publication date is listed as tomorrow, 9th Dec.

What do you think the chances are of me checking tomorrow and finding out it's been moved back several months?

My prediction is no. It's the Christmas season - they'll want to have it out for gift-giving.

I wonder if the U.S. company is only planning to issue it in paperback. That would push back the availability date quite a bit.

Well, you can order it, but it says "usually ships in 1 to three months". Which means it might as well list the publication date as March. And also that nobody will attempt to order it for Christmas.

My local independent book shop has it - so now I do too!

You should all move to Canada. :Wooper:

I'm about half-way through, and really enjoying it. With the caveat that I seem to be less critical of the newest books than the rest of you, I'd say it was really excellent, and certainly better than most of the other stuff that gets written nowadays.

So now you can all chime in and point out how wrong I am, and how terrible it actually is :D

As someone who thought Snuff was ok at best, and Unseen Academicals really up and down, I absolutely adored Raising Steam. Then, I'm a fan of the Moist von Lipwig arc, and also a fan of trains and dwarves, so that might have had something to do it.

Ah, so it's not just my imagination - Raising Steam really is an improvement over the last two. Good to know!

Well worth it, Frelga. A definite return to form!
In related news, I just saw 'Going Postal' for the first time (well, the second half). Very enjoyable adaptation! Loved David Suchet as Gilt, and a little cameo from himself at the end! Did they do 'Making Money' too?

Not yet. But there has been Twitter talk about TV series for Good Omens.
