I realize that this mixes in with some of the other questions asked, however, I feel that it is a very important question.

Edited to clarify

This is why I wish I were still a Ranger, or that there was one on the boards right now.

Should ToE members have the ability to start a veto poll if a non-ToE member asks for access who they feel would endanger posters in the ToE forum.

Sorry about that  Still worded awkwardly much clearer  ;)

Estel,

I'm still not sure what you are asking.

Is this the straw poll talked about in the business forum? - to see how the membership at large feels about the idea?

Jn

edit: wait. ignore me. I just realized that there are three other threads like this one. Let me read them and see if things get clearer.

later: OK. Now I get it. I'll vote in a moment.

This isn't the Straw Poll, no.

I just want to know whether or not people think that ToE members should have the option of a poll as well as, or instead of explanations.

Referring to prospective members to the ToE with whom ToE members feel would be a danger to the forum or make members extremely uncomfortable.

It is obvious that I have now committed the same faux pas that I was complaining about in the Jury Room.

From what I have been able to ascertain, ToE is a private club within the greater whole of b77. As such I see no reason why users should not have the right to create a poll for whatever reason within their confines.

Some of us feel very strongly that this is the case, and others feel very strongly that it is not and should not be the case. Welcome to b77 ;)

My thoughts about the poll is that if it is instituted, members should be able to vote "I have no objection to X joining ToE" as well as "I object to X joining ToE".

*bump*

This one seems to have been missed in all the poll bumps.
