I've gotten the wrong answers on a few occasions, too.

Do you think I should PM Jnyusa and see if she is available to count?

I'd feel more comfortable if we had a third counter.

Edit

Although there are really no complicated IRV questions. The worst one is 5 options, and there is another with 4. All the rest are 3, I believe.

So we'd probably ok with two counters.

I just realized we have eight committee members. Aren't we supposed to have an odd number to avoid ties?

I haven't been forgetting someone, have I?
Quote:
Composition of the Committee
The committee will have an odd number of members, no fewer than seven, no more than thirteen.

No, I noticed we had eight, and forgetting the requirement myself, hoped we wouldn't have a lot of ties.

I noticed we had 8 at the beginning, and even though it was my job as the loremaster to point out that we are not not strictly in compliance, I elected not to do so, because I felt that we needed to get on with it and not get bogged down in the details. I take full responsibility for that decision. I hope we don't have any ties, but if we do, we'll have to figure something out.

I think if there's a tie we should have a big tag-team Jello wrestling match.

Then we could flip a coin to see who wins the vote. :D

I don't know, you guys. There's no mention of jello in the Charter. I may have to resign the committee.

Of course, that would take care of the even number problem. :D

You're not getting away that easy, Cerin. :)

After all, we still have another ballot to go.

Should I be proud or ashamed?

I hoped to make it easy to tally.

I'll be getting my vote in first thing in the morning.

I would just like to say, at this point, that I would vote for B on option one, excpet it still contains the accusatory language that I spoke about earlier. I had thought this had been addressed, but apparently only the initial wording had been changed. Therefore, I cannot, in good conscience, vote for this option. I agree with it in spirit, but not in wording.

I had suggested changing this:
Quote:
It would be unfair to shift the responsibility for your own feelings of vulnerability to others by trying to keep them out of this forum if your concern is not in some way related to an awaremess of questionable behavior on their part.
to this:
Quote:
It would be unfair to shift the responsibility for personal feelings of vulnerability to others by trying to keep them out of this forum if the concern is not in some way related to an awaremess of questionable behavior on their part.

Italics indicate what was already changed. Bolding and red indicate changes I had previously suggested but were not implimented.

I simply cannot vote for something that contains accusatory (you) language like that, as much as I agree with the statement. If it is changed, I would be more than happy to vote for it.

Estel, I'm terribly sorry! I never noticed the other elements of your suggestion when we discussed the change earlier. I only noticed the part we specifically talked about, that is, changing 'It is wrong' to 'It would be unfair.'

I don't think the wording should be changed now that people have voted on the question. Though I don't personally see the accusatory aspect that you still feel is there, I certainly understand if you feel the need to vote against it.

Again, I'm very sorry I didn't notice the complete change you suggested at the time.

Cerin has kindly pointed out that I lost count at the end of my voting and left out question 17. I will amend/ edit my vote to correct it and make the edit clear.

Cerin - no big deal. I understand fully why it cannot be changed now, as much as I wish it could be. I should've reread the first post sooner - then I would've been able to address it before voting began.

Anyway, since I can't sleep, here's my vote. Let's hope I get it right :P ( @ self)

Estel, I'm assuming that the mediator spoken of is a volunteer mediator from the jury pool here in the jury room.

We need your vote on this question because its a close one. Then we can finish counting.

And there is, of course, going to be at least one tie.
