Eru, don't take the blame for deletion; take the kudos for having created TWO practice boards instead! :D

If I may make a suggestion though; while the practice board is a useful tool for those who want to learn new skills, it is the INSTRUCTIONS that are the vital cog. So, if you're going to the trouble of writing out new instructions it would be prudent to keep a copy of them all somewhere safe, not just on the practice board which could be deleted again at some point due to lack of interest.

If the instructions were stored safely, say - here, in a purpose-built forum, or maybe just in some read-only threads in Michel Delving, they would always be safe and anyone could access them and even create their own, new phlubber practice board at any time. That way you wouldn't need to feel any sense of responsibility (not that you should anyway) for the maintenance of a practice board.

I don't plan on totally rewriting the instructions. Alandriel typed out wonderful instructions in the "How to be a Ranger" thread.

It is a good idea to save anything I come up with here. :)

I'd appreciate it if Jn or Voronwe could check my math on all the quorum stuff...both in the second and third post.

An update on that remaining ranger position: waiting for Mummpizz to read the PM. He visited today so I'm not sure why he didn't read it. I'm beginning to wonder if people are getting the Mayor's PMs.

I'm feeling quite nervous that this last position hasn't been filled yet. It's just been darn hard to get a response and I don't know what to do when someone doesn't tell me yay or nay or doesn't even read the PM.

Eru,

It might not be a bad idea to contact several of the other people on the list to have a contingency plan in case Mummpy doesn’t respond, or backs out. Eltirwen is after him. She hasn’t posted since Oct. 12, but she was last active on the 24th. Sassy is after her, and she’s always around, so you should be able to reach her. I don’t think you have to take the people in the order that they are on the list, so find whoever will agree to do it and go with them.

If anybody has any reluctancy to serving I would like to talk them myself if I could. I keep hearing misconceptions about what the Rangers do, and I think I could dispel those if I had a chance to talk to people.

Got a PM back from Mummpy and he's unsure as he doesn't have tons of online time. I think he's thinking he has to protrol the board looking for problems. I've tried to explain to him that he's not obligated to anything unless a member contacts him. Now that I'm going to be PMing people all the letters it seems the only regular duties for a ranger are to change ranks and activate members.

I've gone ahead and PMed Eltirwen and Sassy just in case.

Please remove me from the juror and mediator pools. I am currently serving as a loremaster on a committee, so I will wait to ask to be removed from the loremaster pool until after the committee is disbanded.

Thanks (and sorry about posting it in the wrong place  ).

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

Eru: I need you to take me off the Jury, Mediator, Loremaster Pool list. Real life has gotten so crazy I hardly have time to post these days. I first thought that things would revert a bit more back to normal but with recent developments (my father-in-law that lives with us was just diagnosed with cancer) and our new business... there is just no hope in the forseable future. I cannot have my name listed in good conscience knowing I would not be availalbe.

Sorry. I hope you understand.

Hi Eru,

I e-mailed back to you with regards to volunteering as Loremaster but I didn't get a reply. Just wondering... :)
