Our children will be like us. It's a circle of life kinda thing.

My children would most likely be extremely impressed. :Wooper:

You know, if just one thing were banned, it would solve so many woes, from TORC mods all the way to the Sudan:

IInfluential hypersensitivity.

Grow some skin, people! You live in a big complex world, and you're part of it!

Case closed.

I agree, but can we expand that to two?
Influential insensitivity being the other of course

Of course that pretty much would make everyone milquetoast but....

Influential hypersensitivity might be the phrase I've been looking for. I am really not sure that there's much I'm more bothered by than folks who get on a tangent and involve as many other people as they can. It's usually for something kind of silly, too, and you wonder why they don't just shut up and take comfort in their own beliefs instead of shoving it down everyone's throat. There are so many idiots, I've come to tune out the ones with legitimate reasoning along with the rest. Too often, anyway.

Poor Howard Dean.
Talk about an "unfair edit". Beyond belief.

Oh I'm well past it!

And you missed my point entirely.

[open honesty]If your comment is influenced by my post-midnight Ireland commentary at the m00t back in April, that was a delayed reaction to the out-of-the-blue-three-forum-copied attack by a was-a-close-friend-but-intertwined-with-a-TORCmod-and-he-was-hypersensiitive-to-implied-criticism-of-his-lover post. To be honest, I don't remember any of it, but Estel and satch can bear testament as too how much I cried that night.

Although they (rather than the earlier wider audience) paid witness to that waterworks, both agree I gave an impressive impression of the noises a cow would make in labour.[/open honesty]

I'm not taking potshots at TORC per se in my earlier post. I was talking really about the US Moral Majority as a whole. I will never forgive them for forcing Soap off the air. I just used TORC mods (read 'owners') as microscoping the Moral Majority so as to enhance the spectrum of the small against the large (Sudan - the largest (geographically) African nation) in a fashion B77ers would easily understand.

Twas not a potshot in its own right., just an author's right to ver-simplify and exaggerate the point.

Though I do pity those who try to white-picket-fence their lives against the wider and richer world. Something TORC owners, the Moral Majority, Sudan, FOX News and the judges of the world's most enviromentally car (check the results - madness!) try to achieve.

I could have said 'TORC mods'. I could equally have said 'certain HoF posters who were upset that I was suddenly pushing for a large m00t in Chicago when I directly PM'd the world and its sister (not just my peeps), even Cerin,, saying they should attend when they preferred a more cosy m00t even though it was advertised on four boards but they haven't got the guts to talk personally but I have to hear it from a mod'.

But that's difficult to type when I am on the Blackberry.

Holy shit! I think I need to ban myself!

Honestly I have no idea what happened that night and I never asked. Or rather, I did, was told "you don't need to know" and said "Erm, ok". Its really not an issue. But I suppose what is an issue is that I'm now much more cognisant of the wider diaspora than I used to be and I realise that there were a lot of snits taken by a lot of people over a long time, long before I knew any of you. It'd be nice if we could just put as much of that in the past as possible and get on with things.

This place became famous/infamous as the Anti-TORC, and I'd like to think we've since moved past that. The occasional potshots make it difficult to shake the feeling that we're still all about "what we're not". Which would be a shame.

I'm all for banning uninfluential hypersensitivity also.
Hypersensitivity in general is worth banning.

That and clowns.

Surely you jest, ang?

Hypersensitivity is a pain in the ass. People are now claiming that old episodes of Sesame Street are not child safe because of this kind of social trend. Sesame Street, folk!

Can we ban the letter G? This ban broucht to you by the letter C.

Can we ban super serious sports talk? My younger brother is having a heated discussion with a friend about the Bowl games and it's really retarded .

Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

I consider foaming at the mouth a side-result of drooling, so...:D

Let's ban the fact that women's sizes differ EXTREMELY from store to store. Seriously...it's frikkin annoying and it cannot really be helpful to anyone.

While we are on that note, pants that are too short for me should definitely be banned. And shoes that are too wide.
Those silly short jackets should be banned.
Then after that, cockroaches and overly strong cologne.

Roger Roger.

I need to add my agreement on banning ticks and other insect pests. I also need to add softcover text books that you must buy for a class that costs over $100.00. Way to much.
