I swore I wouldn't do any more of this stuff tonight, but then I went and copied the files in the "smiles" directory on the old board to the "smilies" directory on the new board.

1993 files, transferring as I type. I can see about half of them appearing in the Smilies box on the right.

Anyway, that's it from me for tonight. Goodnight everybody! :tired:

Hmm, can't find the "cheers" smilie. Oh well, just imagine that you see it at the end of this post. :D

Okay, I found the capital 'A', but it is only visible in the Prosilver board skin, not the Subsilver. And now that I have changed the font size, some avatars are appearing on the right of my screen, while others are on the left! :help: :suspicious:

The move makes me wanna post and post and post. :D Unfortunately I have nothing much to say right now. Not that that keeps me from trying anyway.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into this! Seeing everything develop is really exciting.

 to Jude for fixing our smilies. (Wish I could've done it for you--you've done enough already!

Hi, fishy!

I'm not taking credit for anything! Jude did the vast majority of it, and Alatar helped some, too.

Sunny, I notice that now (that the font size change is only available with one of the skins). Hmmm....

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really need the option to switch the board styles. Really. I've been using Cobalt 2.0 forever and without it, it doesn't really feel like b77 to me.

Things like fixed Width are style based. We will do our best to get as close as we can to the old styles, but please guys, there's only so much we can do. If your style of choice isn't here, Google for "Cobalt PHPBB3" and see if it exists. If it does, send us a link. Don't expect Jude and I to spend hours trawling the nets for your style of choice just cause this one doesn't "feel" right.

Sorry if this comes across snippy, but Jude has been working on this for weeks and he's mostly hearing whats wrong. Have a look at the new features. Play around. Look for positives rather than negatives. And to quote a friend of mine, be part of the solution, not part of the problem!

Later... :)

The following were available at the old site:

Aeolus
Cobalt 2.0
Subsilver
Rainy Day

Currently we know Aeolus has not been transferred and Subsilver is our current default. If I get a chance later I'll look for new versions of Cobalt and Rainy Day.

ETA: I've had a quick look and neither Cobalt 2.0 nor Rainy Day appear to have been converted either. All that can be done at this stage is for you guys to search for similar themes on http://www.phpbb3styles.net/ and we'll install them

I agree. We just moved. How would you (general you) feel if you'd put a lot of hard work into moving the board to hear immediately afterward people complaining because it doesn't look exactly like it did?

Jude has a real life and he can slowly work on things when he can.

This is reminding me of all the "The new facebook sucks!" stuff. Sites sometimes change and change can be good. Yeah, it may not look the same, but all of the content is here. That's what makes b77, not some code. After a few days, we'll get used to how the new board works and even enjoy the new features. :) The change was a bit of a shock to me, but I'm happy with the new place. I think it looks sleek and clean. :) I'm grateful that the board is working properly...no more phantom pages or lost posts!

Just a thought, maybe we could keep the suggestions for mods and styles for the board to the business room and keep this a positive thread?

I love the new place. As people said before me, it looks clean and streamlined (not that the old one didn't)

Thanks a million to everyone involved in the change, especially Jude.

Good work to all involved.

Feels fresher - perhaps we needed that...
