I looked it up. Such an obscure reference! Do you have the entire series memorized verbatim?

"Uh, that's the umbilical cord. It's a girl."

Well, that happens to be a favorite little moment of mine and I do quote it (or use Bart's awesome British voice :D) not un-often but, to answer your question....yeah, pretty much. :Wooper: (At least through season 7ish.)

And what a boy! :Q

It's hard not to have the Simpsons memorized when it's on tv all the time. And nothing else better is on.

Yov, when you mentioned Aunt Helga I immediately pictured Bart saying it in his British accent, but I couldn't remember why. :blackeye:

Wow! How many times do you have to watch an episode to memorize it?

Off-topic: Rebecca, I love your Calvin & Hobbes picture :D

I love the episode when Bart, Nelson, Milhouse and Martin go to Knoxville to see the World's Fair. They stop to see Nelson's idol: Andy Williams.

Nelson: "I didn't think he'd do "Moon River," but then--bam! Second encore!"

I don't think I've watched an episode in years, :( not for lack of interest, just the schedules changed a bit and I'd forget to look for it. But I still find a lot of life's situations easier to explain by setting up the punchlines of countless Simpsons jokes.

Duffy, I loved how they'd pan across the audience, showing how bored to tears Bart et. al were, and then it gets to Nelson, who's in complete awe, crying with his hands clasped together. The schoolyard bullies lead such fascinating lives at home, imo. ;) Jimbo apparently comes from money cuz I remember a scene where he's sitting in a fancy tea room watching a soap opera with his mom rofl.

Anyone seen the "Bart's Comet" episode in season 6?

There's a crowd scene near the bomb shelter where Nelson and Barney are pictured together, and looking almost identical. And it looks deliberate, too.

Are they trying to set up a future episode where we find out they are related? Did anything ever come of this? (since I'm over a decade behind current Simpson events)

This may be cheating, but I don't care. :P
This bit of silliness is from the movie and it makes me laugh every time I see it.
The look on Marge's face cracks me up. :D

So I happened to watch the "Lisa's Wedding" episode today. It's interesting to see their predictions of what life will be like in... 2010, which is next year. :D

Oh, and... Continuity Error Alert! Maude Flanders is alive in 2010! How the Udûn did that happen?

She liked jerking people around and Maude had nothing to do with Lisa I guess. ;)

Silly people, by the time we reach the year 2010, we'll have figured out how to bring the dead back to life. :P

Oh, wait, I've been watching too many episodes of The Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci Fi channel today. Last episode was about beauty, how everyone has the ability to "transform" into a beautiful man or woman, and a young woman who doesn't want to be transformed. In the introduction, Rod said something about "let's pretend this is the year, oh, 2000." :LMAO:

Back to favorite Simpson moments! I sometimes like to use Marge's line from "Who Shot Mr. Burns?", especially when we get together with his family: "When I took your father's name, I took everything that came with it-including his DNA!"

I never really got that line. Was she just in denial or are we supposed to read more into it?

Sadly, zombies already exist. link I can't recall if that is the same article I read years ago, and the fact that this particular one takes place in Pittsburgh (any good zombie fan would know Romero's films take place in PA) makes me wonder, but you get the gist. :P

"Dawn of the Dead" is famous in my area for having been filmed in a local mall, Monroeville Mall, to be precise. The first mall I ever went to!!! (big nostalgic moment for me here now, people.) I grew up about an hour away from that mall, and going there for Christmas shopping was a huge deal, back in the '70s, when it was the closest mall, and the expression "shopping mall" was new.

My brother went to college nearby, and badly wanted to be an extra in the movie. He didn't get in. :bawl:

I totally remember you telling me that before and am still impressed. :D I would like to visit that mall some day. Not sure what kind of trip to build around it, but you know.

Zombies are my favorite movie monsters. I could never play one, though. Too creepy.
