Oops, I forgot to post about it
It was very good - a collection of short stories rather than a novel. One of them actually has Jonathan Strange himself making an appearance. Another is set in the Village of Wall as created by Neil Gaiman in Stardust (due credit is given in the introduction).
The concept is the same - magical stories set in Regency England. People who loved Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell should enjoy this book as well. In fact, those who found the novel hard going might enjoy the short stories more.
