I've been hoping for ages to buy that Communist Party t-shirt, ever since yov first mentioned the site. I also found a couple of bargains - a zombie t-shirt for my girlfriend, and a very silly gay pride t-shirt. I got the whole way through working out sizes and everything, and then I realised that they don't take Maestro, or Paypal. :(

I don't suppose there's anybody here who'd consider doing putting an order through on my behalf, if I Paypaled them the $52.00 I was trying to spend?

Oh, that's sad. Threadless is awesome.

I didn't realize they.....Oh, I did know they didn't take PayPal. >_> It was the other site that I ordered something from did. Yeah, never mind.

I would do it if I had the extra money to spare for a few days but I'm living on almost nothing and so I do not. :(

((THANK YOU FOR THE PHONE CALL  ))

Oh man, seriously? Board77 people are amazing. :D
Thanks so much Rebecca. Seriously. I've been looking forward to treating myself to this t-shirt for ages, and although my girlfriend doesn't know about the zombie t-shirt yet, I just know it would make her so happy... thank you so much.

I'd have someone in America ship it over to you as well. If I remember correctly, Threadless charges a fair bit for shipping to the UK, then the UK will hammer you with import charges. If someone in the US sends it to you as a "gift" ;) that will get you out of the import charges.

I have to say, I find it very annoying not to be able to get stuff from America easily (Threadless, ThinkGeek, now yarn). I'm sure it's annoying enough for people outside the US, but I used to live there and enjoy that priveledge so having it taken away blows.

Eru - if you ever need anything from the U.S., just let us know. You can send it to our MyUS address, and when we get our stuff shipped over, we can seperate it out and send it to you. Since we're slowly building up our blu-ray collection, and we have to use region 1 for that, we get stuff shipped from the U.S. about once a month/once every other month. It's no big deal to add a couple of pounds to a shipment that's being sent anyway.

Our big problem is being unable to use paypal, and therefore, ebay. The fact that Gibraltar doesn't have a zip code really puts a damper on most online ordering. I don't even bother to look on ebay anymore cause no one takes credit card, except through paypal, and no one takes wire transfers or western union. Most people I've talked to say they would be happy to ship to Gibraltar, but they have to be paid with or through paypal. I hate going on there and seeing something I really love and knowing that there is no way of being able to pay for it.

Thanks for that offer Estel. I'll probably have to take you up on it. :P

Why can't you use paypal?

Paypal won't let you sign up without a zip code. Neither will ebay. Most online websites don't have the option of ordering unless you fill in a zip code in the bank section either. Steve and I basically have our credit card permanently set with the billing address being his parents, but some websites, like paypal and ebay, require that the billing address and shipping address be the same. When they won't accept Gib for either one because of the lack of postal code, we're kind of screwed. That's basically why we ended up getting the MyUS address. At least there, we have a postal code. We can't use Steve's parents because every time we've tried to get a package shipped through them, they get quite confused and we end up having to have UPS or DHL pick the package up from their house. Then they end up having to stay home all day, as the people never show up when they say they're going to, and it ends up being exceedingly expensive.

So, no ebay. No paypal. MyUS account, and all the ordering we do online, we do from the US to a US address, which then ships on to us and just charges our credit card. It's pretty much the most inconvenient thing about Gib, and would be completely solved if they just got a stupid postal code here. Just one.

I'll stop ranting though :P I just really miss being able to go on ebay.

Can you contact paypal directly? I'd give that a try and explain your situation.

We have. Multiple times. They either don't much care, or they have someone working who doesn't know what they're doing, or both. I'm betting on the first though. When they've got the whole world, what's another 30,000 people?

And thinkgeek. And threadless, too. I HATE THAT. There was stuff I wanted to buy and have shipped to Chris's place so I could pick it up when I visited, but noooo. What about gifts, huh??

/rant.

Maybe it's for the best, I can't afford to be buying anything anyway :D :blackeye:
