That Pres. Obama killed a fly? I can't believe the swooning going on for this. Meredith what's her name, on the Early Show on NBC, was practically falling out of her chair as she reported it. Even if this was GWB I wouldn't have cared! I just don't get why this is such a big deal. Not like there is anything else important going on.

Its silly stuff ... you would think its the dog days of August. Too bad there is nothing else important happening in the news so we can concentrate on that.

The other, of course, involves orcs. - John Rogers

No, it's not that big of a deal.

But you're the one that started a thread about it.

It made the BBC news.

I think it's just something light hearted and funny. There's enough doom and gloom everywhere that we could use a laugh and a light moment.

I agree. Also, in the age of Youtube, little things like this get seen by many more people than in years previously.

The fact that it was caught on camera so clearly just made it something that HAD to be shown. I don't think anyone thinks it's any kind of "big news." Just a light-hearted moment, that's all.

It's those right-wing radicals at NBC and BBC at it again.

And this would be why no one takes PETA seriously...

My cat caught a moth and then let it go. Granted, he let it go because he was going to toy with it, but the point is, the moth survived. Does that make him more or less ethical than Obama? :fight:

I'm not sure. He definitely thinks that's what's mine is his, but I'm not too clear on if he thinks what's his is also mine. And he does have his toys all stashed under the couch. Hoarding isn't very communist. But, on the other hand, he seems to have forgotten the stash is there...

Clearly I need to ponder this.

I bet all the newscaster that ran the story wish they had thought of that too.

Liddy, have you thought of quitting your job and becoming a newscaster? :poke:

I'd point and laugh too much.

And I don't have the teeth for it.
