You might want to eat lots and lots of carrots and other vitamin A rich foods, starting a few weeks beforehand, as well.
A cat could probably see it easier than we can. So could other animals with enhanced night vision. But, if your cat's responding to your moods, I'm betting that has more to do with your behavior and voice than anything else.
