I've been hit twice from behind by tailgaters. I think a 12 foot barbed pike protruding from the back of the car at driver height ought to be the answer to tailgaters.
I did read somewhere that someone had their dashboard altered so they could switch on their brake lights at will.
Good on a sharp bend!

I find them annoying too. Even worse are the ones that state: "little dude on board" or "princess on board". Though I couldn't help but wonder if you'd get extra points for rear-ending the car proudly displaying that it carried twins.

I'm with Maria--I view them as a warning, not a request for caution.

As to removing them when no child is in the car...I know of more than one house with a "child in this room" or "pets here" decal (mostly for fire departments, I understand) who no longer have either children or pets present. Yet the stickers live on, like college loans.

I can't remember the last time I saw one of those. I doubt they have any effect under ordinary circumstances, but I could see how they might deter acts of road rage.

I answered 'more careful' but not because they have a 'baby on board'. Usually they are shit drivers, so I try and avoid or get past them as much as possible.

Ha! How things change. :D Now I have a baby again, and this time I have a "Baby on board" sticker. Mostly because it was cute, and it's the last time I'll be able to carry such a sign. :D But I still don't notice them in other drivers, or let it affect my driving.

Tailgaters infuriate me almost as much as people who think indicators are optional, especially at roundabouts. Grrrr. :rage:

Yes I agree. I usually find the need to wash my windscreen when someone if tailgating me. It's kind of a figurative piss I guess. And yes, signalling at roundabouts is a common courtesy. Hate it when you sit to see what the non-signaller will do.
