Anothing funny Spanish one is the word "polucion", which you'd think meant "polution". Although it can mean polution, where I lived in Central America it had the more predominant meaning of "ejaculation"...

I'm glad I didn't say anything about breathing in a lot of polution...

I've cried a thousand oceans, and I would cry a thousand more if that's what it takes to sail you home.

Well the conversation went more like: yeah, so back in Canada there's quite a bit of polution, but the government is always trying to keep it under control. Sometimes in Toronto you can't see much for all the polutions.

I was greeted by stares and audible laughing...

I believe you. :P Was just replying to another post.

Always glad to hear a friend's not swallowing lots of pollution.

Or have no choice in the matter, what with it flying through the air and all.

I don't think the first two involve bad translations so much as a typo and communism. =:)

The third one seems related to this stereotype:

Oh my word. That's terrible.

(Okay, yes, I laughed. Out loud, in fact.)

It's okay to make airplane jokes when they're east Asian instead of Arab. ;)

This message seems to have been lost in the translation from text to visual...

About those Japanese ones, they always substitute L for R there, since R there is sort of a combination of both R and L. But oh, the typos.

I never noticed this thread before.

Sometimes all it takes is a bad accent.

For example: "asshole (adv) globally, generally; You must try to view the human asshole."
