Al, apparently that season has not been made in that format yet, though they are planning to. Perhaps you can find info here: http://www.darkhorse.com/

Its ok, I found an *ahem* alternate source for all the Buffy Comics and am using Comiczeal on iPhone to read them.

Just started Season 5.

What's with introducing a new family member right out of the blue, and pretending like she was there all along? That was sloppily done, in my opinion.

:LMAO: :damnfunny:  :LMAO: :damnfunny:

*Nothing* Joss Whedon does is sloppy. :P It's the most perfect case of retroactive continuity I've ever seen. :)

I was wondering the same thing at the start. Then it all made sense. :blackeye:

I miss Buffy, so I think I may start reading the comics at some point. Also finished Angel now - cliffhanger ending. Grrr! :P

:Q The final season of Angel ends on a cliffhanger?

Or one of the earlier seasons?

The final season does. But it's good, I think. Except that you don't know how things really end...

The network ended the Angel series unexpectedly, so they didn't have time to make a reasonable ending for it. The story continues in comic books, but I'm terrible at reading comics, so I lost interest and haven't even finished the ones I bought, much less kept up with the series.

I heard that they already knew the series was going to be axed and therefore got to some sort of reasonable ending. It is a bit frustrating though, granted. Looks like I will also have to read those comics in the end, even though I preferred Buffy to Angel. I liked the characters more (and I preferred Angel in Buffy more too). I especially miss Willow now!

OK, you are right. 3 months is time enough to rewrite the series ending, if you want to. I guess they didn't want to...

VAGUE SPOILERS FOR THE ANGEL FINALE!

The end of Angel was very deliberate. It wasn't a case of "we'll resolve this next season...oh, I guess we won't." They were trying to say that the fight continued and always would, that there really was no end to the struggle.

Here, I'll let Joss say it (from Wikipedia):
Quote:
"But the point of the show is that you're never done; no matter who goes down, the fight goes on." Whedon says that Angel is about redemption, "something you fight for every day, so I wanted him to go out fighting. People kept calling it a cliffhanger. I was like, 'Are you mad, sir? Don't you see that that is the final statement?'

Many of my friends are pressuring me to see the series. Its going to end up like BSG for me I'm sure. Not really careing but once sees loving it, especially after the fact I found out Felicia Day is in it somehow. I'm her number one stalker lol

You'll have to wait until Season Seven to see Felicia Day, but she is there. :)

Okay, I'm starting to get the "Sister" thing. I take it all back - it was brilliantly done :D

When this season was first broadcast, was the reaction of the fans much like mine was at first?

I just watched it first last year on DVD, and yes, our reaction was pretty much the same. I was annoyed because I was pretty sure I'd heard it said that Buffy was an only child- and how could they introduce a sibling this late in the show!!!?????

If you watch the series again, there are some hints in the episodes before that foreshadow Dawn's introduction.

I do think that Season 5 is the best so far - the arc of the entire season was well-structured, and the individual episodes were great too. Some of them were painful to watch, especially for me (keeping it vague in case some people reading this are planning to watch it later!). I have one more episode to watch, so I'll finally find out tonight how (and if) the "Glory-situation" works out.

Oh, and I loved Willow's line "We've already deja'ed that vu!" :D
