Just make sure to take their confidence levels and other numbers into account when you decide how much to worry. Some of the stuff they predicted for me with low confidence was just flat out wrong.
There are several risks associated with DNA testing by individuals: to quote an old saw, "It's a wise child who knows its own father". This is no joke.
I'm not trying to be a downer, but when people start digging into their genetic makeup they should be prepared for surprises. It happens ALL THE TIME.
I'd actually like to do this to either confirm or deny a genetic surprise that I may or may not have waiting for me. It would be good to know either way for sure.
I don't think I'd mind knowing for sure for my own personal interests, but I would have to keep certain information secret from the girls. One life blown apart by information is enough. I want it to end with me.
What I can't decide is if it's worth finding out for sure for myself, or leaving certain hopes alive...
(This is not directly related to the girls, btw. This is concerning me, not them.)
