I don't know about December with online people. I know that some of us are talking about getting together in January to see it together. I will be going as close to the opening as possible. I'm even talking about a midnight premiere in costume with some local friends.

I dare you to go dressed as Lobelia.

Don't forget to harangue everyone within earshot (Hey, those are my spoons!")

:suspicious:

You know I only dress as an Elf. In a pinch, I will go as a woman of Rohan. But I have a nice Elf dress that I sewed, so I can go as that now.

I can't believe I got this scoop before Lali did :D

The Hobbit expands into a trilogy

Is he going into more detail, or adding more extraneous irrelevant stuff? Watch this space...

:D You got the scoop here, but I posted it on FB. ;)

I have no idea how this is going to play out as a trilogy. It should be interesting, but I'll bet that purists will be gnashing their teeth!

With this level of detail, The Lord of the Rings should have been a hexology!

Hmm... or a... what's the word for a series of nine? A enneaology?

I wasn't that excited about The Hobbit when it was just one film, but contrary to what 99% of the fandom thinks, I'm really stoked about it being 3 films! :D Imagine all of the mythos that they're going to cram in! *geekgasm* :D

I think Leoba is planning a mini moot in London to watch it this Christmas. I may go, if I can arrange childcare, and if I'm not in Spain as I normally am over the Christmas period.

In a perfect world, yes. Then there's also the possibility that there'll be two films' worth of Battle of Five Armies, and one film of plot. Just imagine all the shield-surfing they can fit into two whole films! :uhoh:

Ah well, I'm not as precious about TH as I'm about LotR. I think I've only read it twice. *le gasp*

I find it a bit infantile, tbh. But then I only read it after having read LotR, aged 16, when I was very sensitive to what was grown up and what wasn't.
