This is a film about an average Joe who is put into some sort of suspended animation for 500 years. Upon waking up, he finds a world where society has degenerated so much that he is now certifiably the smartest person on the planet.

I was completely unaware that he had done another film. It was released this past September 1st in the US in a very small number of theaters. Has anyone seen this? If you have, any thoughts on it?

Here's one review:

Oh.

Sounds interesting. Like something I would watch and laugh at. :D

No. I haven't heard of it. Sounds cool though.

The morons at Fox are treating it like Office Space. You would think they would have learned.

That seems to be the consensus of quite a few of the reviewers, Ax. I'm trying to get the word out to friends and family who loved Office Space.

I heard the NPR review and looked for it in theatres...ah well. I will look for the DVD, which should be out any minute now... interesting that one of the Coens co-wrote the screenplay.

I've been trying to read the screenplay today, but it's on a personal storage site that's blocked by my work's websense. :(

I watched Idiocracy a couple of days ago, and it still bothers me.

It's not going to be one of those movies I forget right away, is it? :(

I found it to be about 10 times more disturbing than funny.
