There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs. - John Rogers

I've cried a thousand oceans, and I would cry a thousand more if that's what it takes to sail you home.

Thought I saved the "morans" guy long before teabaggers were around.

Dumb signs abound, regardless. :P

I find Whargarbl more amusing than Infiltrator in that last one actually. At any Irish protest there's always at least one token person with "Down with this sort of thing!" and another with "careful now".

^ Those were my favorite signs at the anti-scientology rallies a couple years ago. I can never find the specific photo, but it always makes me smile. It sounds so cockney, or at least how I'd hear it via kid's movies and my dad teasing his mom's accent. :P

Is it strange that I find it hard to believe that people like that actually exist.

Honestly. That's my only observation. :P

Have you heard about all the Palin fans who are voting EN MASSE to keep her daughter Bristol in the Dancing With the Stars competition? :uhoh:

From Operation Bristol:
Quote:
Here’s a hint: They don’t have to be VALID email addresses to register them with ABC.com, there is apparently no validation process. The just have to be formatted like a valid email address, and you must use a valid zip code and a birthdate that makes you old enough to vote. I’m voting like a democrat, all night long…

Yes. Phones are only open 1/2 hour after show is over.

Delete your cookies and continue to vote email addresses. Let me know if you need instructions. I’m doing this in IE because I never use IE and don’t care if I delete my cookies. I’m using my emails over again.

I’m afraid the libs are on voting for all the other three. We can’t give up. We can vote online until 11 AM ET tomorrow.
So yes. Hard to believe, but also... right there.

:peek:

You never give up, do you?

Yes, I was there and I did it all. And I'd do it again. We Leftists are determined to destroy America, and then the world. :D

I know I'm a Ranger right now and should be checking everything, but I really didn't want to click on the above links. Anything I should know about?

Because it's part of a post, particularly here in the Symp, where things can get heated and out of control quite quickly. I don't normally read the majority of politically-related posts here, but I do try to read them all when I'm serving as a Ranger just to keep on top of potential situations.

The links are to youtube. There is strong language but no violence or nudity.

They are of a counter-protest to a Tea Party rally.

Since this thread is about interesting signs and interesting protesters (the word "interesting" defined in the OP) those videos seemed to fit in this thread very well.

Thanks, CG! I figured the language might not be the cleanest from the titles. Since I have little time and almost always have children around, I didn't click on them.
