That was interesting - I remember all that except for the last episode, "All Powerful" - in other words, I remember his story up to where he was left as a baby with Oma, and I remember thinking that he'd probably be a major character sometime in the future.

But I don't remember that last episode. Maybe I accidentally skipped it when going through the DVD's

I'm actually starting from the beginning again with the kids. I never really watched it religiously, so I don't really remember when it got good? I know the first few eps are not too impressive! So far its very "Planet of the Week based on some Earth Culture". But I remember lots of cool stuff with Asgardians and Replicators.

I liked it from the very beginning. I guess I have no taste ;)

:D

The problem is when you start watching it from the later seasons and then go back to the beginning. I did that and also thought the first season or so was not as good as the later seasons. (And the last seasons were not as good as the middle seasons.)

Yeah, they hadn't quite hit their stride the first season, but it's still worth watching. :)

I seem to enjoy the series, even if some eps are a bit... shall we say, lame? I watched Stargate Atlantis too, but for some of the characters, it never really grabbed me.
