Really? The Canadian amazon still says 29 October...

... which means that it gets released when I'm in Scotland. Guess what I'll be reading on the flight back?

The American site says March 2014. Because American readers have no way of getting their books at the same time as the British ones.

American publishing is run out of Death Valley. By trolls.

March?????

Does this happen every time a Pratchett book comes out?

I suggest you thumb your nose at American publishing and just order it from amazon.ca or amazon.co.uk.

What's the deal with that trailer with Cohen someone posted a few months ago? Is that still in progress?

So, we're two weeks away now. My nerves are frayed and I'm pretty much petrified. Here's hoping it all comes together...

Petrified? Are you always petrified before an opening, or has this been a difficult production?

Its my first time directing in about 10 years, its a small challenging space and I have a lot of inexperienced actors. Its not the same as going out and "doing what I do" as an actor. Apart from anything else, so much is out of my control. And that's scary! :)

Really wish I were there to see it, Al.

Amazon has Kindle versions of Long Earth, Long War, and Snuff for $1.99. Possibly US only.

Raising Steam on the Canadian site has been pushed back to 11 Nov. Maybe I won't be reading it on the way home from Scotland :bawl:

Alatar, if it goes well will you consider doing other Pratchett stage adaptations? If you give us enough notice, we could plan a m00t around it. I bet we could even persuade the Frelga family to come!

How did the dress rehearsal go?

I'm going to the woman in the back on the far left is Nanny Ogg, and the leftmost witch in the front row is Granny Weatherwax, and the one next to her is Magrat. Am I close?

Oh, and we want lots more pictures!

Did you look at the pics in the link Jude?

The three witches are front and center: Granny, Magrat and Nanny (I know Nanny is younger than she should be but I hate wigs)
In the back we have one of the fake witches from the play, Lady Felmet and Duke Felmet, The Fool, Bedlin (also the Chamberlain), Verence (also Vitoller), Gummridge (also Mrs Vitoller), Tomjohn and Hwel.

So how did the run go? And will you be doing more Pratchett-Briggs plays in the future?

We did really well, thanks Jude! Probably our biggest audiences yet over the full run. We did video it 2 nights, but just using amateur camera's, so I'm not overly confident of getting decent quality.

As to whether we would do it again? Maybe Mort. However, there's a huge challenge in large cast plays with multiple scenes. A nice two hander with a single solid set sounds pretty good to me right now! Maybe "Educating Rita"! :)
