As far as the monkeys, I wish he had said clearly that science doesn't say we
came from the monkeys that exist today, but that we and monkeys are relatives, both descended from some long ago ancestor. I suppose his complete answer gets at that idea, but it seems to be one of the common misconceptions about evolution.
To me, that's one of the neat things about evolution - we are actually more or less distant relatives with every living creature.
And yikes, there are people who don't believe there could be sunsets without gods?! I suppose they don't believe flowers or vegetables can come true from seed either, without God individually having a hand in each one.
I suppose mutants happen when God is having an off day?
