It's entertaining to be a fly on the wall.

With all this talk about themes at both boards, I ended up switching b77 to "Fae Forest" just to see what it looked like, and have to say that I quite like the layout and color scheme (though I could do without the nymph). I think I'm actually going to keep it set there. b77 allows avatars that are too big for it to accommodate, but I can deal with that.

Dave, I agree with you that fae-forest is kind of cool, but I also don't like the nymph. I can take it away by changing the template for the style, but then it kind of screws up the overall formatting. I can see where to get into the template coding itself to alter things, so it might be possible to directly edit that image out of the header. However, I'm afraid I'll screw it up.

I just dropped that in when I was looking for Greenish themes to compare to HoF. In the end we just edited Subsilver.

Subsiver is the only theme where I can find the Unread posts link on every page. Is it a setting, a permanent function, or am I just missing the correct location in other themes?

It's to do with the Template - it just so happens that the subsilver template has that link on every page.

Lali, if you want to try editing the image, what have you got to lose? If you're happy with the result, post it and then Alatar or I could upload it to replace the existing one. If you're not happy with the result, then we can leave it as is.

So does Tapatalk not work with this board, or did I just fail to find it? That app really encourages my spamming tendencies.

I know nothing about tapatalk. Did it have to be explicitly installed on HoF, or was it just compatible with phpbb3?

Also, I can't make sense of the code, honestly, to get in there and remove the nymph*. I'm not even 100% sure I'm looking at the right section of coding in the template. But I also haven't had much time on the computer; I think the day I really started looking at it was the day before we lost internet.



*If this is currently not said in coding circles, it should become a standard phrase.

If you want to just create a suitable graphic the same size as the one you're replacing, you can upload it and one of us can replace the other one with it.

Did the tapatalk work? I can't tell because I don't have a mobile.

Did you add Board77 to the register? The Tapatalk Website needs to know about it so one can search for it on the Tapatalk app. Its not showing there yet.
