I had planned this for long, and of course I had planned it on TORC, but things being what they are...

Every day until christmas, children over here open a door in their calender, something nice, mostly a sweet.

So, I decided to post a link every day, very selfish about something I like, to share it with you.

1st decembre.

:)

And in RL we did open the first little door today, it was a lamb (a chocolate one of course but not as fine as your offerings )

that's a nice one, nin. Though I must contradict point 20.

20. With chocolate size doesn't matter.

of course it does. The more the better ....

oh, and I was at the chocolatieres today. On the way home I've nearly eaten all of the truffles I had bought for myself... and I've got to get those parcels out before I eat the truffles I bought as gifts...

Fantastic list there...

Thank you Nin for doing this! I'd completely forgotten about this aspect of Christmas!

This is such a lovely idea Nin.:grouphug:

I haven't had a 'real' advent calendar since I was in sixth form, when we had a chocolate one in our form room which we took it in turns to open!

I love the chocolate kind! It was always a struggle not to open up the other days in order to get more chocolate. :P I was lucky...I'm an only child so I got all of the chocolate.

Aaahw! Christmas isn't about age... And you're not even big. :P:P

Maybe I'll play Santa then (though a little late)...

Thanks for this great initiative Nin!

hehe ... thanks Nin - well we have 3 in the house at the moment - 2 of them are ones with little pockets that we can re-use every year so I fill them with little chocolates or something silly.
The other is a paper one which is at the end of Tab's bed and her godmother gave her - we had the 3 king's presents today :D

Titch - I have six over here... two for each boy,one with sweets and toys, one with pictures, one for the au-pair (she is so young over here) and one that the au-pair gave me... with pictures.

Before we had kids, I made one for my husband, with a surprise for my husband - it's so easy to find small things to please them and myself in the mean time ;).

However, if you ever only once wondered how to cope with all the Germans on this board (and on the beaches in Spain).....
