I wish you wouldn't, Ro. I told Holby he could stay on the list and not be asked to serve until he was ready, but I guess this is how he wanted to handle it.

Jn, maybe we should just leave Farawen off the list until and unless she returns.

I'd say leaving Farawen off the list would be the best and to not also count her as one of the first admins since she was not.

Anybody been in contact with her lately just out of curiousity?

Eru,

I heard from Farawen about 10 days after Easter. She had been away on vacation without internet service, you know, and when she came back she said she had gotten out of the habit of posting and had lost her enthusiasm for it. She wanted to let me know that she wouldn't be voting with the convention committee any longer, and she also asked me not to make an announcement or anything like that because she didn't want to make a big deal about it. But I took that to mean that she didn't know when she might return.

Hi guys. :)

Thanks for taking me off the list. Please also keep me off it.

Also thanks to Jny for respecting my request and not making a big thing out of this. It was a combination of unpleasant experiences here on b77 that's led me to the conclusion a break might be in order. I had planned to return after the Easter holidays requesting an arbitration to sort out things with another member of b77, but haven't yet accumulated enough enthusiasm (and confidence in the other party's willingness to participate) to do so.

Anyway. Take care, will see you around. :)

Thanks, Farawen. It's good to see you in passing. I hope things can someday be resolved, if that's what you wish. You take care, too. :)

FYI: I'm in the European timezone - I noticed I hadn't posted it before.

I am a bit insecure re my command of English, but if the board needs my service I'm here.
Btw. I'm mostly on this board during office hours between 9.00 and 18.00 and not on weekends (European timezone, of course).

Mummpizz.... they let me do it, so how can you possibly doubt your command of English?

The English generally don't like being commanded by Germans ... you are Suisse, you command everybody ...

Sorry to disillusion you, but

1. We Americans don't recognize anyone's command over us.
2. As Americans, we assume everyone has an adequate command of our language (if they don't, we simply talk louder until they understand us).
:D

Besides, the German speakers need more moderating than anybody else. :D
