Sorry to hear that Mummpizz. Here's hoping that one door closing opens an even better one elsewhere.

Wow, I'm sorry Mummppizz. Good luck finding a new position quickly.

I'm put "future" next to you name on the list. You don't ever really come off the list unless you say "never." :)

Mummpizz - sorry to hear it. I echo Alatar - hope better things are in store.

Yikes, Mummpizz! :(

Best wishes for finding something new quick - and if you need some ginger-chocolate cake or a talk for moral support you are invited in return here anytime (sorry, had meant to say that for a week now  ). :)

Thanks, folks - I'm just sorry I cannot fill the position of an admin soon (even if I were elected).

truehobbit, that's a nice avatar - and a nice garden! And I am open to a return invitation, of course. Maybe not necessarily with gnger-chocolate cake. My morale, however, is better than in the last two years --- remember my broken foot? I was so angry and dissatisfied with my client that I unwittingly countered the proverb "Das ist kein Beinbruch" with a "Doch".

And another proverb fits in, "Etwas besseres als den Tod finden wir überall ..."

:D

Yes, Mummpizz, no more elections - you just go back in the queue a bit - there's no way out of serving as admin now - mwuahahaha!

Ok, then - no cake, no morale - sounds like an easy guest! :P

And do you see yourself as the donkey, the dog, the cat or the cock? :P

(I like that line a lot, too - but I hope you won't take to breaking into houses and occupying them! ;) :D )

I'd like to go on the admin list, as a way of helping out this board. :D I'll hopefully have more time now, to do things like that, although I still don't have a job... I'll keep ya'll updated on that one.

Yay, Elti!

Thanks!

I'll add you to the list in the first post, and Jn will add you to hers. You're in the North American time zone, right?

Yes, Central time if you need to know. Considering the types of job I'm applying for, I might be able to get on from work... if I'm careful :halo: I also will probably be on quite a bit weekends, as it looks like my husband will be working nights and sleeping during the day.

We need two new admins as of July 1!

Hobby and I are both out as of that date.

However, we have no Mayor yet to move things along.

The next two in the pool, in order of volunteering, are Rodia and Guru. But Ro is traveling to the U.S. this month, right? And might not want to be tied down to the job just then, especially at what will be a busy time for the admins. Or does she?

Who's it gonna be? :D

Prim, I just sent an email to Voronwe about this. In order of entry into the pool, these are the next several people on the list:

Mummpizz * (not sure if Mummps already served or not)
Rodia
Guruthostirn
Jnyusa
Areanor
Holbytla
vison
Alatar
tinwe_linto
TED

But Mummps and myself have to take a rain-check on this for work reasons, and I doubt that Areanor will want to do it right now. We have to check with vison about her health as well. I was not aware that Rodia would be travelling ... so July 1 ought to be Guru and Holby if they are able; and August 1 should be vison, if she can, otherwise Alatar, tinwe and TED. (Unless we only replace two on Aug 1, but I'm guessing there will be a lot of new registrations for the next few months.)

Prim, as the senior admin/Ranger/dahlin', can you PM Ro and ask her if she wants to do it or not (I imagine the answer would be no, but we should check), and then check with Guru and (if Ro says no) Holby, to make sure that they are good to go? That would be great.

We should still check back with areanor, and not just assume she won't want to - if she opts out for July, maybe she would like to do August.
I know it seems odd to ask her when she must have other things on her mind, but she was up for election each time, so I think it would be nice to take her into consideration anyway. :)

(Though I think she'd actually like to be admin when we move, so maybe a little adjourning will be ideal for her. ;) )

Yes, absolutely. I just wanted to give fair warning to the people who are below her on the list because of the likelihood that she'll want to delay for a while.

That's the spirit! Now hie thee to the b77experiment board and get yourself un-unprepared! If you don't know where the b77experiment board is, simply look up at your URL address right now, from just about any place on these boards, and erase the "board77" part and replace it with "b77experiment" which will land you on the back doorstep, probably with a notice "The topic or post you requested does not exist". Then just click on the index and you'll be at the front door.

Guru has hardly been on the boards in the last weeks...

I agree on checking with Areanor.

Jny I don't know where you got that list from but it is outdated.
The first post in this thread has the current list.
