Me neither. Some days I think I'm unable to do things, and other days I wonder if I'm just unwilling. It probably makes me sound like a spoiled brat, but I've just never really been forced to do anything. Not that it's given me much of a life, but it always seemed easier than working to get something really amazing. I don't want to miss out on some of the amazing things happening this year, so I'm trying to do what's necessary to get them. It's just a scary thought. I'm way too cynical to believe things'll work, so it's been an up-hill battle when I keep setting up all these self-fulfilling prophecies for myself.

These are things that I look down upon in others, which just makes me all the more disgusted in myself. I just figure that if I keep it to myself, it's not hurting anybody. There are so many incredible people on this site that I feel like such a fraud amongst them. I look up to you guys and yet I can't even take the steps to make myself more like ya's. :doh1: But it's getting to be late in the game, so I'll run out there and try.

You're always so supportive. I hope to return the favor because I've really appreciated talking to you in the last couple of weeks.

yov, I need to be working at a much higher level of awesome to deserve your compliments, but  all the same. I know you're having a harder time of it lately, so please know that I'm one of your biggest fans, and not in the MISERY kind of way either.

We all go through cycles where we feel unable to do something. It's whether we decide to just stick it out or push through it that really matters.

Each day is either a tiny step forward or backward. You just have to make the choice of which way to go!

Ok, so I'm trying to take tiny steps forward again... 6 miles total this week. Just walked a mile in the rain. I now have very wet dogs!

I know that smell. :P Jessie's kind of fowl these days from being outside more often haha.

Yeah, I only did four miles the other day, but I think my total is up to 293.

I'm just about to pass 300 miles. Since I slept for thirteen freakin' hours today, I hope to get some biking in later on.

I've added 4 miles so far this week. :)

I noticed the coolest thing this morning. Duke & Miles walk in step with each other! I thought maybe it was just a coincidence, but they did it almost the whole walk. (They're sooooo cute!)

We got another doggie compliment. There's a lady who escorts one of her neighbor's kids to the bus stop & we passed her again this morning. Instead of just saying hello she said that "the shaggy one" (Miles) was the cutest dog she had ever seen! (I totally agree, with the exception of a few other dogs I know!)

She also said that they were such well behaved dogs, but I didn't bother telling her the awful truth... ;)

I did 10 km this afternoon but probably won't be adding to that since I screwed up my sleeping habbits yesterday and will be going for a nap soon, then interrupting it for American Idol. ;) Total is currently 308 miles. 150 left.

Cem's getting lots of exercise out in Scotland, I know that!

315.56 miles now. I am so tired lately and even worse: feeling like stuffing my face. :uhoh: All I can think about is popcorn and hamburgers and spaghetti. Argh.

333.70 miles cuz I biked about six tonight hehe. Glad I went for it, but boy does my butt hurt on that st00pfid seat after a while. :P I think it was around Christmas time that I was doing really well and going for about 15 miles a day. Then, my butt wasn't sore at all, so perhaps I just need to get back into it instead of five miles every couple of days or weeks. :nono:

More importantly, I can't remember making any horrible eating choices this week. I had major stomach pains on the weekend after some caesar salad, but meh. My dad made a nice steak & potato dinner, no way was I passing that up. I'm trying to get my mom to buy more grapes and apples (unfortunately, the only fruits I like at all) but she comes home with huge bags of potato chips and I'm weak. Not to mention uncreative - there isn't much to work with in this house. Sigh. I can't control the food, just the exercise, which is why I have to try so much harder.

I lost my pedometer within my first 3 days of walking in Scotland so I can only estimate how much I walked. I'll say I averaged 4 miles per day, so multiply that by 7 and I can add 28 miles from Scotland.

Since I got back I've added 6 miles... so 34 miles for me since my last post. :)

I just found out at the doctor's yesterday that I'm down 18 pounds and my blood pressure is closest to normal then it has been in... 6 years or so. That's some pretty good news! :D

I can only add AMEN to that.

Good on ya Cem! You rock. :)

And btw I've recently said "screw you!" to the gym I joined. I miss the river path. I don't care if it's a half hour drive away. :D

5 more miles down. No idea where I am "On the road" so I'll have to go back and search for that number another time. ;)

I have gnats in my eyes.

:D Thanks, guys & gal! :D

*E*, I got tears in my eyes when I saw your post. I think it's just because it hadn't really sunk in that I have actually lost weight and I have actually dropped my BP til I saw that... display! ;)

Jonny, I think I know the feeling. I could go walk at the "Y", but I prefer my hometown and my own block.

Well, between have had an off two days and looking at my numbers from last year when I first started walking (I've gained weight), I know that someone successfully beat down almost twenty pounds is a huge accomplishment. So I take my hat off to you!
