How about the "b" from "board77" and the "orc" from TORC and call ourselves the BORKERS?

It's even more fun to just say "bork, bork, bork". Try it!

b77ers looks fine, but how do you think it? It's unweildy. At TORC we were "torcers." Short, simply, easy. But "bee seveneesevener"? It's LONG.

But I'm used to that. . . so, while I agree with Ang, I don't think it will change anytime soon. . .

Seeing that m77t is pronounced meet (by me, anyway), I prononce b77ers as beers.

But I think Sassy nailed it.

I LIKE "Beezers"!

:horse:

Do you guys actually say this stuff out loud? Besides Ang, I mean, who can't read without talking out loud? :P

Really?

For the longest time I wasn't even sure how I would pronouce my OWN name. I think I'm going with Anth-ree-ELL. I think. :D

And just a little diversion on the thread, but I've been wanting to address this:

I never say ya'll names out loud. Except when I'm talking to Griffy or something, and then it just seems odd. How the hell do you say Ang's full name? I think I would try it as "Ang-bas-DIL", but that may not be right. And is it Ber-HEEL, or Ber-HALE? or BER-hill?

Jnyusa's name... errr... Jen-OO-sa?

This is fun.

:P

Beezers...beezers...hmmm...I could live with that...especially if beers are involved too. :D

Wolfgangbos was my roommate for over five years and a lot of that time we both posted on TORC/here. We would often talk about the boards so, yes, I would say these things out loud.

For the record: yo-var-gus. Accent on the 'var'. (and in writing, no capital 'Y' please!!)

:)

Pippin Forty-Two Forty-Two. As any Emporiumite worth their salt will recall (if I didn't bash it into their brain too hard).

Jn, I can't tell you how long I've wondered how to pronounce your name. Came up with some pretty strange versions, too. :P Jen-yoo-sa. . . *takes note*

How do you pronounce "Paininthepatooties"?

:P

Eru- Thank you! For some reason I thought Ber's name would be Burrr-something, not Bear-something. I've been imagining it wrong all this time!

Of course, it wasn't until I watched the EE of FOTR that I first heard someone (PJ) pronounce "Tolkein" as Toll-KEEN. I'd always said TOLL-kin; but, then again, until you fine folks came into my life, I never really found anyone to talk to about him, anyway.

Actually I've had trouble with my name before. :P People think they're random numbers but I actually meant them to be there and they were chosen for a purpose. They're an integral part of the name and I hate to think that some might still be mispronouncing them as 'Four Two Four Two'.

:P

ETA: What are patooties? And do I want to know?... :help:

That would be Payn-ihn-thuh-pah-too-tees.

You asked. :P

I've always said Berhael the same way as Eru does. Nice to know I wasn't completely off. . .

Well, I don't know if I'm right about Ber's name, but I think I'm close. Wait until she confirms or corrects. ;)
