Screw the critics. Good popcorn movie.

They nailed it, basically - all the characters.

Great, witty dialog between them - particularly between Torch and The Thing. Many comedies I've laughed less at.

On the minus side, the final battle between them and Doom was over way too quickly.

On the plus side, Jessica Alba should be called the Fantastic Two all by herself.

If you want some *fun* at the movies right now, a place to leave your brain at the door and chill, this is the one.

One for the DVD collection.

Please, while I disagree with Steve on MANY movies... this one I think he's got right.

Jessica Alba in spandex. 'Nuff said.

This is the first movie that I have seen in the theater since RoTK. For some reason, I actually liked it.

She was better in Sin City. Because you could SEE more. :D

Iavas,

One thing that was correct was the casting. This lady was cast as "Sexy Nurse"

Of course, with the title of the movie being what it is, will American audiences be wondering with what happened with the three prequels?

Remembers the name change of The Madness Of George III to The Madness Of King George

That's why it's "Fantastic Four" not "Fantastic 4."

Simple enough...

It's working on mine. :Q I hate all those talentless skanks they put on Entertainment Tonight. As if the material isn't moronic enough, they gotta have it delivered by some useless bimbo. I'd love the entertainment industry if it wasn't for all the idiots who leech off it and pretend that they're popular too.

I'll probably see FF anyway.

Don't see it if you want anything more than just a bit of fun and stuff 'sploding.

I think Steve's got it pegged especially the comic bits, I heard more laughs at the jokes during FF than in many so called comedys I have gone to see.

 It's a summer movie taht does its job very well. I love the Fantastic Four, always have. I loved them before Wolverine was a glower in Marvel's corporate mind. Steve is right there, they got the feel of it just right, I totally buy the characters are who they're supposed to be.

As for Jessica Alba, hmmmm, well I am a married man

I also really enjoyed the movie. I saw it and The Longest Yard at the drive-in last week, and thoroughly enjoyed both. :)

It was funny. Witty. Charming. But tried to do to much in one film. Having Doom's story in the same film was probably to much.

The Thing actually looked a little better than I thought he would. Which is good.

The characterization was pretty much spot on (a huge plus IMO).

Jesica Alba is hot. No question. But Sue Storm should be blonde. So she didn't quite look the part. Everyone else was close enough.

Sorta Spoilerishee

The snowboarding scene was one of the best. That and the Thing's Drug speech. :D
