At long bloody last!

Thank goodness we delayed going away by an overnight, otherwise the poor package would have been left festering on the doorstep all weekend.

Stupid postman - when I remarked how how shoddy the service had been, he just shrugged. :P Ony 8 days late!

And of course no time now to watch it until after Christmas. :(

OK - Competition Time.

What, exactly, arrived late?

All I know is that Ann Summers is well known for it's poor delivery times.

Er, so I've heard.

That's easy - two letters I think (nah, not those two letters, that would be pretty dreadful ;) - but similar :P) - the EE, right Leoba?

I'm only getting to see it after Christmas, too, though.

Avoiding spoilers like the plague.

Congrats on the safe arrival!

(Why does this all sound as if you'd had a baby? :halo: )

"My fingers are tingly, and the stars are vailed." Musta been good stuff.

"The stars are vailed, the virgins aren't, the night is good!" -- attributed to a friend of mine.

"Our in-flight meal today will be" -- What happens when you think a winged beast should of chomped on Denethor as he fell in flames.

"The sock-puppet of Mordor" -- soon to be another alternate ID of elengil

This is what happens when you get five friends together to watch the RotK EE and you can't turn the sound up. We all figured we'd see it again soon, so had no problems with laughing and talking loudly. Much hilarity ensued.

I had my wife buy & bring it home for me. Nice, huh? Ah, the pleasures of being married. But once it was there, a strange relaxedness overcame us and we did everything but watch it for almost a week.

We had another week between Disk 1 and 2 --- I was so profoundly put off by the lack of any slightest trace of "cutting sense";

TRUEHOBBIT DON'T READ ON UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS

Grond approaches the walls of Minas Tirith, a scene of some split seconds, and then it is cut. The movie is cut in half like a saussage. Gargl.

Because you lot are all too used to catching me in compromising positions and spreading rumours about me? ;):P

Thankfully, it's just a DVD. Although perhaps we should expect a younger sibling too? I hear tell that Amazon have sent out another, so maybe we'll be inundated with mini Minas Tiriths.

And still no time to watch it. I wonder how my family would cope with all three back to back, in place of shoddy Christmas television? :halo:

I sat there and stared at the screen and then it was like "huh"? OH ... "story continues on disc 2"

They could have cut it just BEFORE, maybe? Or a second later? A little less waffle from some comentary track ;) I know it doesn't really work like this ;) and they could have ended on a nice "Grond approaches" cliffhanger.

I, however, did NOT imagine the Minas Tirith model involved there

Farawen, you surpass many people I know in the filth that crawls from the pit of your mind.

I will never look at that thing in the same light again.

Leoba - I also have one now, that I feel I should hide under something, not give pride of place in my sitting room

And with "something" I mean, something inanimate.

STOP IT!

There are poor peoplie like me out here that don't think they will see the EE at this side of the year.

Because unlike Mrs. Mummpizz, Mr. Nin is not very keen on buying and watching anything that will get me again in this weird story he never understood.

Have you seen it, Aragorn, the White Tower of Ecthelion?

I had to give her the money back, Nin.

The special features about miniature filming are interesting. Did you know they build them in three sizes?
