Very very quick pass-by to let you know that I am back on the other side of the pond. A little further actually as I moved in to Toronto on Thursday. Looking for a job and an apartment...

Wish you all the best.

Good luck with the hunt, Eari (and hood to hear from you).

I am just being busy (hence the quietness). Lots of re-enacting and family commitments!

Eari, we missed you! I hope the job search goes well, and we can eventually see you out here. Drop me a PM or an email, had some questions...

Well, it's official, Vana and I are married!

Hello everyone!

Guru and Vana congratulations! I saw the pictures made by andrea. Lovely wedding indeed.

time for a post i would think.Things have gone quiet here.

I had a wonderful holiday with my darling Cen. We thoriughly enjoyed sun, sea, and sandy beaches. Just what we needed after a year of turmoil for the both of us.

This week I started my internship at the museum Mauritshuis, home of Vermeer's girl with the pearl earring and other classic pieces of art. It's a great opportunity and a lot of fun to work there.

Also last monday I started with my driving lessons! It's a lot of fun. I didn't hit anyone and kept the car in one piece. beware! within a year I'l be able to take you places muahaha!

Okay I guess I will have to show at least one pic from the wedding. We don't have all the pics yet just the ones from our own camera.

It was a beautiful day. Not too hot and no clouds in the sky. The day was magical and so much fun!! Guru's mom and sister played the music for the wedding (his sister on the Hammered Dulcimer and his mom on the Harp). The flower girls were his sister's daughter Lori and my grand daughter Julissa, the ringbearer was my grandson Austin, the best man was our dear friend Lance from the SCA and the matron of honor was my daughter Melissa. I don't know how to post pictures here but will be sure that somehow we get some to someone who can. :D

Congrats, Vana and Guru! I'm so very happy for both of you :D Wish I could have been there, but work kept me here in OK :( Can't wait to see more pics!

Jae--is your mom still improving after her surgery? Congrats on the internship...what exactly are you doing?

Eari--Yay for being back on this side of the pond! One day I will be in the northeastern U.S., to visit Ranger's family, so maybe we can meet up? I'm hoping this trip will happen in the next few years...but the way the Market is going, who knows :( Good luck on finding an apartment and a job...have you found either yet?

Leoba-- Had a dream about meeting you the other night...got me thinking about TORC again and I found a rather scrawny muse to help me post again there

Sorry I keep dropping off the face of the earth...I really do think about everyone a lot and miss the old days on TORC

Edit: oops...forgot a  for everyone else. I love reading about what everyone is doing, but I usually don't have time to respond...at least not to the extent that your posts deserve.

Wow, this thread need a serious bump and a post from me is long overdue.

I'm well enough. Terribly busy with my internship at the museum (Lurea hi!! :D check http://www.mauritshuis.nl ) and it's going really well. Working on my report and presentation but I have till febuari 1st so I have some more time.

My mom is recovering rather well and is up and about doing things around the house, going to the gum to improve her condition. The rest of the family is doing less well. my grandmother had to be rushed to hospital and is diagnosed with breast cancer. To top that my uncle has had an accident and has lost his short term memory. So things are very chaotic and weird at the moment. I'll be glad when this year end and a new one begins. Never been more eager to leave this year behind.

Is everyone else doing alright though? I hope so!
Hugs! :D

Hi Jae. Good to hear from you, although I wish your news was better. All the best to your mum - and your grandmother is in my thoughts. It seems like ages since we last saw you.

Sorry about the lack of updates from me. I'm just busy with life I think. We finally put the camping gear in the loft this weekend and are still trying to work out how to fit all the book into our house (we brought some more back from Din's dad's last weekend). I keep looking at the IKEA catalogue and then realising that, great as their design ideas are, they're made for warehouse conversions, not for cottages where you can touch the ceiling!

Nice to hear from both of you. Guess I should pop in myself more often.

Nothing's changed much on our end, other than Vana is finally out of a job and looking for another one. It makes things interesting, but we're hoping she'll find something around the beginning of December.

Any other lurkers out there? I miss everyone...

Hi guys,

Sorry I am not more regular in my passing over here... You would think that still not working :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: I'd have time to surf the net doing nothing but well... Looking for a job takes some time and I find myself hating my computer even more often these days... :suspicious: :(

I had a phone interview yesterday to get a Recruiter job but turned out the agency just added my resume to their database and had nothing for me. I am wondering if it is really legal to put any job ad to get people to answer and have their resume and personal info. But :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

I have an interview on Thursday that is linked to what I studied and what I am really interested in and I really hope it is going to work       because I can't stand being home everyday anymore (mind it's been driving me nuts for a few months already   )

At least I could start my singing lessons again so it gives me some time for myself in a positive way... and I'm going to get there actually.

Jae, good to hear that your mum is getting better...

Leoba, can you PM me your new address I don't think I have it anymore...

Hello everyone, it's been ages since I last peekebooed in here. Life is a busy little thing, keeps one quite occupied.
I've recently returned from a lovely journey through Egypt, but it only takes a couple of days at work to make that seem like an eternity ago already. Things are crazy again, as always. But, in the end, there is more than work. And life is good. :)

Jae, I'm very happy to hear your mama is doing better. Pass her a big hug, will you? We really ought to find a weekend where we're both free to arrange something, haven't seen you since... way too long. :(

Eari, good luck with the job hunting.

A big hug to Guru and Leoba, and to everyone out there lurking.

Hello everyone!

Wow, can't believe it's december already. time's really flying. Almost time for a new year. I can't wait to see what the new year will bring. I am hoping a place for Cen and I. Yes we're still happy and saving up for a little place of our own around summer. He'll graduate in June and I'll start my final year so academic life is slowly drawing to a close. I am concidering persuing a masters though Medieval Studies just to because it has my fancy.

Mom's doing much better and has started to work 3 morning in a week. But that's all the good news I have. My uncle has sufered from a cerebral aneurysm and is only slowly recovering from it. My grandmother has been diagnosed with breast cancer and we're having talks with surgeons. So we just cant seem to escape the hospital hallways.

Leoba I hope you heard the message I left on your voicemail. I really cannot thank you enough for the magazine. It's gorgeous and wish I could have witnessed the debate with the writer (cant think of her name at the moment. Fraser something I think) It really has been way too long. I am hoping perhaps next year I can make it over for another weekend of fun. Could I possible trespass on your hospitality once more? Perhaps with an extra person? (depending if he can suffer all the history talk I will no doubt have with you) I would just like him to meet you two. You mean alot to me ;) Awww now I am going all mushy. Sorry!

Kaya sweety!!!! Thank you so much for the texts and card! welcome home though. Yes we must definitly compare agendas and pick a weekend. It has been way too long. I just have to get better at this emailing thing. You know the scary part, I actually dreamt of our characters! :Q

Eari good luck with the job search. I hope the favored job comes through. It's important to do what you like or else you'll be of worse. Just sending you hugs and wish you well and good luck.

The hugs are to all of you of course! :)

I'm not sure what that means...it looks like you need a hug.

I didn't get the job I wanted... they hired someone who had 10years of experience in fundraising...
I was just extremely disappointed because I really wanted this job, it was more than just a job but one that I was going to be passionate about. It just sucks.
