Heavens Above! No!

My father (our landlord) has a fear of anything that might damage the (admittedly dodgy taste) decor. That mean no sellotape, blutack, drawing pins etc etc.

Why do you think I'm still terrified of them noticing the iron mark in the carpet - which we still haven't removed effectively.

Not really. But so long as there aren't many and they are executed neatly it's tolerated.

Then I am particularly honoured to have earned a nail in your wall.

Ro, you are worth more than just one nail, you are worth a whole tool box of them. And maybe a hammer as well, or a wrench...yep you are definatley a wrench.

I thought you'd say that.

It's a painting of a carol-singing hobbit. Unfortunately we don't possess a digital camera and so I can't share. Unless Ro took one before she went to the post office?

Cell phone camera? Friends with digital cameras? ;)

I don't have a digital camera either. I either take things with my film camera and take them to a shop to be scanned, or ask someone with a digital camera to take a photo. I've also brought paintings to the office and asked collegues with fancy cell phones to take piccies of them.

I'm very low tech.

Well, actually, I'm just poor :P

I didn't. I had this plan to scan all the hobbits I was going to send but then I was too lazy.

Sowwy...

A cell phone camera. :LMAO:

I'm way too low tech for that. The last phone I bought was in 1998. the one after that my ex bought a few years ago to stop me using the excuse that my ancient battery had run down. I don't do technology.

Maybe I could sweet-talk my Mum into taking a piccie for me at the weekend. ;)

Bought my last phone in hmmm, 2002. To replace the previous one, stolen. Which I only had 5 months. Which replaced my first phone that I finally drowned in the loo one morning  after dropping it on its antenna, requiring expensive repairs, just a few weeks prior to its final demise.

Man, you haven't lived until you've tried to fish a phone from your toilet. It slid right up the U-bend

:LMAO:

I can maybe cope a bit longer without living. Unless dropping a purse full of money in the loo counts?:Q

Oh no :Q That is allmost as bad! ( the cell phone was a crock by the time I drowned it )

I dropped my tube of toothpaste down the loo this morning, too. In my defense I was horribly hung over, but still - what is it with me and the loo???

Ellie - I know, I know. And the lid is almost allways down because my kittens drink from the bowl ( gross ).

The cell phone went down because I was just about to use the facility, but I was woken by a phone call from work, at about 04:00am. I had to go in to recover the system and I walked into the loo for a morning pee just as I hung up on the call. In the process of terminating the call I lost my grip on the damn phone and terminated it too

The toothpaste dropped in because I forgot to put the lid down, and then fumbled the toothpaste tube. From the moment I dropped it it was doomed anycase, if the lid was down it would have bounced off and into the cat's food :P

No wonder your cats drink from the loo, if you keep their food bowl right next to it. Poor things. :P

Mind you, I've been known to try and throw knickers into the loo rather than the laundry basket - based on the semi-conscious theory that you have to lift lids to both.

Leoba - I've also nearly dropped used laundry in the loo more than once

And the cats have their bowl under my bathroom sink which is right next to the loo since, frankly, my little house has no other space for it! And they've got a nice clean water bowl down on the floor. No need to jump up, reach down into a loo with the tail straight out, brace, and slurp. I thought only DOGS did that

Awwww just talking about my cats suddenly makes me miss them! I wanna go HOME!! :(
