Clapton.
Never cared for them, personally.

Cream is a trio of Eric Clapton on guitar, Ginger Baker on drums, and Jack Bruce on bass and doing most of the vocals.

I'm sorry, I was thinking of Squeeze. The thing with both them and Cream is that even as a child, I thought of the band names in naughty contexts, and always seemed to get the two mixed up in later years because of the association.

Story:
A friend of mine was once sitting around with two guys. They (jokingly) decided to come up with a band name by each writing down a random word and then sticking them together to form the band name. The three words they came up with were:

creamy
fornicating
puppies

Did she pick the puppies one? :P

It reminds me of this particular drive-in sign: link.

Dear Sir,

We regret to inform you that your quota of Led Zeppelin is deficient. Please listen to more Led Zeppelin.

Thank you,

The Management.

PS - Otherwise, your musical taste is impeccable.

Will certainly do. They're great!

Did anybody else sign up on this? Any thoughts/opinions? Wanna link to your profile? :)

I just noticed that the graphic list I posted in the first post automatically updates to my current stats which I think is super cool! The list has changed quite a bit since I first posted it nearly two months ago. The current list reflects my real tastes much better then the original one did. And you still get bonus points if you know songs from at least two of the bands! :D

(Hints: Sigur Ros had a song in Life Aquatic, Iron & Wine had a song in Garden State, and Sufjan Stevens just got a song in Little Miss Sunshine. :))

I was on last.fm for a little while, but I couldn't get it to work so I uninstalled it. I used to listen to their radio quite a bit. You've given me new faith in the damn thing; I'll give it another try. :)

I never heard of any band on Yov's list.
I know all the ones on Misha's.
I am old.

Don't feel bad, Holby. I'd bet most people on this board haven't heard of any of my bands (except maybe Radiohead; ever heard the song "Creep"?). I have obscure tastes. :)

I don't know any artist that came out after the new millenium. :P

Yov, I just joined and have no flippin' clue what I'm doing. I have to admit, what got me racing to sign up was seeing a long list of songs by my boyfriend Caleb Kane, but I thought I'd be able to access them. Apparently not! :bawl: Those are just what his other fans are listening to, right? I'll play around with it, of course, but really had my heart set on listening to more of the guy's songs because they are brilliant. How do you find songs that aren't already on your computer?

Sweeeeeeet. :D

I actually picked up that Tori Amos song last night when it randomly played on Last.fm. Really haunting. Downright horrifying if you pay attention to the lyrics. I proceeded to look up about fifty songs by her just to see what they're like. She was a little before my time but I could probably appreciate her style more now. Looking forward to it.

Pips, I love that Queens of the Stone Age song!! When it came out a few years ago I couldn't get enough of it, and every time I hear it replayed I like it more and more. :)

I'd heard of the website before (probably because of this thread :P ) but I don't think I ever actually checked it out. I think I'll do so now!

Hi, Rin! I was wondering where you had been.

I'll get around to download other folks' music soon, just a bit preoccupied this week.
