Hee hee. I just realized that silly Leonard Bernstein line unintentionally met my challenge to find a song that was guessable with only two words.
(Alatar was the only one to pull it off, iirc, with Bohemian Rhapsody. Still looking a for one doable with one word!)

Hope Ro and Watcher don't sneak in before me. :D
:D:D:D

I missed it completely.

Your turn, elsha!!!

But thank you for putting that song into my head yet again, Yovi!! :Q Like hyped up gerbils on crack....even though I LUV it!!

(Speaking of which, do not EVER feed little five pound dogs all that they want to eat of Fiddle Faddle - a sort of caramel coated popcorn and peanut confection thing that is very popular - identical to Crackerjacks!! It makes the little canid a hyperactive little beast two hours later.... :blackeye: WEll, it WAS the Fourth of July fireworks after all, and Rambo had popcorn shmutz all over his furry ruff around his neck. It was a holiday thingy...:D:D)

Okay, so I looked up this word, and I fail to see the connection to guessing musical lyrics....

bizmillah, bismillah, basmilla, whatever

(and there seem to be about a dozen or so variations on even spelling it)

Sorry for the osgiliation, back to the topic at hand. :)

Whoops! Sorry to be so late, I was waiting to make sure that I got the right song. I was pretty sure those two words weren't in any other but I wanted a definite confirmation. :D

I've got some friends
Some that I hardly know
And we've had some times
I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of
Places that we will go

Really, I do not get what you and Ang use that word to mean...

I can forgive not understanding you, since you are so much younger, but Ang, well it must be one of his son's terms or sumptin....

:D:D

It's a word that AFAIK only appears in the lyrics to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

And if you don't know Bohemian Rhapsody then I just can't help you.

:blackeye: :blackeye:

I KNOW that song backwards and forwards.

I never knew that it was a real word....

I just googled elsha's lyric. I've never heard of the song or band.

Sorry, yov! They're a pretty popular band AFAIK, although only recently.

Where are Rune and Ags? Both of them know this, or could easily guess. :P

I googled it and it turns out it's just the opposite. It's an Arabic contraction meaning "In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate". Hence The Watcher's cryptic quote.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Okay, it's been two days and no one has seemed to recognize my quote, so in the interest of keeping this game steady I will post another one. :) The one I originally posted is from a great song called Swing Life Away by a great band called Rise Against. I highly recommend them!

New lyric:

Through all the cities and all these towns
It's in my blood and it's all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road and these are the hands

Life is a Highway - sung by many people (Tom Cochrane, Chris DeLoux) but the version I have is sung by Rascal Flatts.

Hasn't it been done in this thread already?

It probably has, Dawn! :) In fact, it's possible that I even posted a lyric from the song myself. But there are 48 pages in this thread and although I try not to repeat a song, I'm not going to go too far out of my way to make sure that I don't. ;)

Anyway, your turn!

Okay, if the challenge is a one word clue, I offer the following:

Pompetus

No other clues unless begged. I would bet someone like Ang will get it no problem.

:D:D

(But not to take away Dawnamira's rightful turn...:()

Can I ask my question as a stand alone question? Sort of another sidetrack?
