It looks like fun. And I shall watch it in happy ignorance of the facts and costuming errors.

To illustrate 300, Miller synthesized his substantial research--which took him to the cliffs of Thermopylae itself--with the trademark style he brought to such legendary graphic works as Sin City and The Dark Knight Returns. He pared down the Spartans' uniform (roughly half his body weight in uniform and weapons) down to its most essential and symbolic features and peppered the story of the historic 480 B.C. battle of Thermopylae with elements of prior and subsequent clashes between Xerxes and the Greeks.

"Frank took an actual event and turned it into mythology, as opposed to taking a mythological event and turning it into reality," says Snyder, who blended Miller's bold vision with his own to make the feature film. "That's the refreshing thing about it. He wanted to get at the essence, as opposed to the reality, of what a Spartan is. If you go to Thermopylae, the statue of Leonidas is a nude; he's got a shield and spear and a helmet and that's it. Frank went to Thermopylae and I'm sure he saw that and went, 'Okay, this is how we have to do it.'"

Did you know a Rino runs up to 30 miles and hour but can only see thirty feet? Basically that means that once it up to full speed it really can't see where it is going... :Q

Donkey Kong was based in reality? His rhino friend, you could make him build up power then charge ahead, way too fast to see where he's going.

Wow, I wonder if ostriches wear sneakers or parrots carry lanterns, too. :D

I was not aware of this, but Gerard Butler was just on tv being asked about his nude scene.

Thank you GOD. The next 20 hours won't pass fast enough. At all.

Hopefully, this movie ends with the Spartan soldiers, to celebrate their incredible victory, all start making out.

Themopylae where the Spartans survive...... :Q ....... :bawl:

It's bad enough that they are destroying the legend that these men fought to make in some trivial action flick.

Poor old Leonidas :bawl:

Mind you, will be a great recruitment for the modern American army. Get the recruits used to the idea of being sent into a defenceless position, abandon them and wait for the body bags, then claim it is a victory.

You need to get new friends.

This movie on IMAX would be mindblowingly awesome.
