I know and I would rather not have my urn full of ashes there either. But that's just dust, not my actual physical shape. We were meandering round the British Museum and Museum of London on Saturday and I rather got dead body overload.

You'd make such a pretty exhibit, Leoba.

Eh, leave this here, it's not really a music thread so much as a musing thread...

I'm not going to be able to honor my father's wishes regarding dead body disposal when his time comes. He told us long ago that he wants us to just throw his body on the compost pile in his garden when he dies! :Q

Lets see...

Remember, I want to be frozen, so I may have two funerals...

As to music, well, it's gotta be a good wake, so no sad music, or at least not much. What I would like is a whole bunch of good celtic music, preferrably played live. There ain't nothing like it for a good party.

But, for the sad part (it's inevitable), there are two particular requests I've got: Something Really, really good on a Highland bagpipe (so cliche, I know), and a really, really good rendition of Carolan's Farewell. Unfortunately, by the time I'm dead, I'm not sure there'll be any harpers that can do it justice...(for those that don't know, it's "supposedly" the tune Carolan wrote on his deathbed...and it's very moving. A very good harper I know of never played it again after hearing someone else do it so much better. It's effectively the "master song" of the harp...with the exception of speed, it is probably the ultimate test of being a celtic harper).
