I've read up on the OCC and had a peek in the IC thread.

And now I really hate to tell you this, but 1800-something is just not my thing. Sorry - deeply sorry, but I just can't because even if I tried I know I'd make a mess of it.
Wish you good luck though on your journey and I'll make sure to read up and perhaps pop in here once in a while to cheer ya on :)

Anya (and Peter) - sorry, I was soooooooo busy with the votes this week....

I'm in RP form too, besides that, I just cruelly lack time.

Nin, a question: Is the sailor you speak to in the RP my character?

Let me know...I can come up with something mighty quick once I know ;)

Looking forward to getting stranded...

Oh, btw...does anyone have any pressing need to continue the storm? Or would anyone mind a time jump to the island?

Please do not yet jump on the island. My only request. I'm sorry - I had so little time and the convention gnaws on me in all senses.

Sailor is great... perfect, wonderful, welcome, whatever you want.

You know, I think I might be up for this... I haven't roleplayed in a long time. I wrote a character a couple of months ago and posted his bio, but there weren't any quests passing though the Shire at that time, and I think with a few tweaks he could easily be an 1803 Englishman... would anybody mind if I joined the RP? I can go and write him a proper bio now if you like, but I prefer just chucking my characters into it to explore things as they become relevant. :)

Pips, I have been a very bad RP mistress, but I'd be happy to welcome you and I promise to write again..... next week!

And Guru, thank you for posting and writing - it's good to know you around.

As you know I have been preoccupied by various RL issues, and I have a deadline for this story for the magazine, but I will and want to write!!!!!

Pips, it would be good to see in here, see what the Pipster is made out of ;)

I am still struggeling with this one. I have a plan for a role, but I am struggeling to write it. It was going to be a counterpoint to Lurea's post, but so far is only half formed.

It's the historical purist in me

Din - see what you can do...

I won't have the time for another ten days - deadline for the story etc... but at least I'm thinking.

Oh, crap. Did I get something wrong? :bang:

All you historians out there... please let me know if I'm wrong on things... my research is internet-based for this story and liable to have serious flaws.

Welcome, Pips :)

Guys, any chance of reviving this? I'm reading a totally awesome book about Captain Cook, and although that's a century too early, the knowledge I gained from it made me a lot more confident in my ability to play here...

Hm?

WOOHOO!!!

Good, very good. I'll be slowly constructing my new character. I regret to say that I will probably be playing a man...unless someone really doesn't want me to. This isn't sarcasm, it's a question.

I just don't like playing girls. Always feel awkward.

Ask and you shall be give ;).

What a pleasure to write again... and I must say, watching LOST has inspired me too. How about PMing people who had marked interest? Or Jae could you convince Ag?

Rodia   thank you... and play whatever tune you like.

I'm here! Gotta echo the LOST inspiration...can't wait to get going.

My new job doesn't offer much time, but I'll definitely be watching for post opprotunities.

Thank You, Nin, for creating this. And I apologise for taking so long to show interest- in fact my interest was here from the beginning, but my muse and my confidence were not.

Well, I actually found this one my own...:D:D

Let me read the thread so far and see whether (contrary to Fantasy RP) I can get into it. Maybe my muse needs some weird setting. I may have overdid fantasy.

So in the legendary words:

I'll be back.
