Right now, I'd say most pics I save come from ohnotheydidnt on LJ ever since it became habit for replies to come in the form of appropriate .gif files. They're addictive. Concert dates for your favorite band? Excited kid will help you out. Apparent nude photos? You know it's shopped. Is Hollywood remaking another classic film? I know how you feel, Stephen.

I caught some great stuff at bordom.net and ytmnd.com. ontd_trash always made me laugh, but it keeps you on your toes with the porn and occasional gore pic, just to piss people off. Same with photos.cx if you ask for a random image and keep refreshing the page. I think tinypic is like that as well (with less objectionable material). lolcats are always a great source, but with so many macro generators out there, you really only need google to find what you want eventually. God help me since discovering roflbot and blingee.com heh. Encyclopedia Dramatica is a must for understanding ~the internets~ imo.

Reeaaally quick post:

It's kewl because the plane is landing on Battlestar Galactica...you know the big ship the show Battlestar Galactica is named for. It's just funny to see someone who hacked a flight simulator program to put Galactica in it, then land a F14 on it.

If you haven't watched BSG, you should.
