Yes, the Bathtub Picture book was a towering achievement of literary ... uh ... achievement. So much better than those boring non-picture books. Way too many words in those!

ahhhhhh. My very first post on TORC was in that first thread, started by Star-of-Hope (I miss Tigg, btw). And I am proud to say that I DID read all of the thread before posting in it somewhere on page 30something. And did I laugh my ass off then.

Your link was probably to the old domain name of tolkienonline.com, which the Tolkien Estate expropriated and had pointed to their own domain.

If, instead of clicking on the link, you copy the link into a word processor, and then replace the "tolkienonline.com" with "theonering.com" I think you should find the old thread.

If I'm correct, you might even want to edit your post to put the new link in.

Areanor, I made my first post in that thread too, well, the second version. The first thread was already closed by the time I showed up. I was such a n00b. But I did read the whole thing first. Hilarious. It's what convinced me to register. A classic.
