Oi! Did the HoF migration begin and I didn't know? There's something very blue where the board used to be.

Me, too, and it seems odd that there was no warning to anyone and that it's happening while Voronwë is away. Maybe our hosts are jumping the gun a bit. I'd thought we'd be warned when the final backup was taken so that we'd know any posts after that wouldn't migrate, etc.

I do hope it is nothing more sinister than the transfer.

This would be an unusual way for a problem to manifest. Usually people just can't get on. This time we can, but the usual board is not there. I would guess that HoF is migrating.

The screen looks like a phpbb3 screen, so it definitely does look like they started the upgrade.

FYI, V-man did post the warning that it was happening yesterday.

Not sure what's taking so long though. I wonder if the upgrade is complete but they've forgotten to remove the "install" driectory?

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that they have completed the upgrade but the board is still set to "disabled" in the Admin control panel. Unfortunately, I don't have admin access to go fix that any more!

A "global announcement" would have been more useful - some of us on different time-zones, and all that...

Who has access to the Admin Panel now?

So I checked, and the /install directory is still there, so that needs to be removed before the board can be used. I don't know if the installation is complete, or still in progress.

Someone should contact mxhub and ask what the status is.

I caught the announcement, but it seemed like the board went down very soon after that.

I missed the announcement completely because I was off the board for most of yesterday.

Alatar and Jude, I've emailed a link to this thread and copies of your suggestions to Voronwë. He is out of town but I believe is coming back today or tomorrow. However, until then his Internet access is spotty.

I don't know whether any of the rest of us admins have access to the control panel; I may have seen it once, but it's been Voronwë's baby. I'll post here (if he doesn't) any information I get from him.

I went to the admin panel and switched "disable board" to no. What do I need to do to remove the install directory?

It needs to be done either through FTP or the Plesk Control Panel. If you haven't figured it out by the time I get home I'll do it, but I have no FTP access from work.
