You would think they are dancing in the streets in the Republican sector of Washington. But all is not as rosy as you might otherwise think. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1110/44676.html It seems they did not win nearly enough and there is blame being assigned within the circle of power. Is t...

The Republican Party deserves the strongest possible accolades praising itself for its decisions that led to its comeback on Tuesday night. In point of fact, Barack Obama and his actions had little to do with anything since the Republican Party made a decision almost two years ago to the day to oppo...

from DaveLF How did your guy do, SF? Thanks for asking Dave. It was close and a real nail biter but he won and will be sitting in the legislature as a State Representative. The final vote was 14,000 for him while his opponent got 895 votes. For those keeping count, he got 95% of the vote. I am not s...

I would agree with the first part that Obama will be re-elected in two years. And if Palin is the nominee the second part of your statement could also come to pass. If it is a more moderate than Palin, then the GOP could hold onto the House in 2012 although i would expect the Dems to make progress a...

Is it true that if I become a county coordinator for Rand Paul that I get a free set of steel toed jackboots?

Look at what was said by this wingnut. "If the government is not producing the results or has become destructive to the ends of our liberties, we have a right to get rid of that government and to get rid of it by any means necessary," Broden said, adding the nation was founded on a violent...

Well they say in politics it is important to keep your eyes on the prize. I guess this makes it a bit easier to do that. ;)

This is pathetic and sad. The video of the man stomping on the head of a downed woman is disgusting. One must say going in that this was not Rand Paul doing the violence but a supporter of his. Having said that, in a very close race like this one is, will it have any impact on the election day resul...

The phone at the campaign headquarters office is probably ringing off the hook today with volunteers eager to join up.

I guess I am doomed to being a heretic on this. The plane crashed. Everybody died. The island was purgatory.

That is my story and I am sticking with it.

Thanks to Ara for that link. It was a good read. And it had a truly great line within it.

I quit sometime during the second season. The ending of the first season was just so great and so perfect. Then they pull some of the old cliche's .... good good guys turn into bad guys and vice versa ... and it just got stupid.

Question - the last thing they showed us was all the wreckage on the beach. Now if all that had been real and everything happened on that island, why was that wreckage still there as if the plane had just crashed or there was nobody there to clear it away in the first place? The only ending that mak...

SPOILER ALERT read no further if you have not seen the last episode. Are we not right back to the debate during season One? It was speculated that this was some sort of Dante's Purgatory - the island, the mountain etc. and these were lost souls trying to get to Heaven. The producers said it was NOT....

Robert Scheer asks this crucial question How bad could it be to have another irascible Paul in the Congress? The answer to that would be it depends on how honest Paul is about what he believes as a libertarian. Libertarians have badmouthing the various Congressional Civil Rights laws passed during t...

Vison While I see the humor in your proposal, there is only one problem with your lottery idea: it takes away the right of the American people to elect those they want to represent them. I think some thinks should be taken seriously. ... the rights of a free people in a democratic republic being one...

We currently have laws which provide for the election of all government officials at regular time periods. Anytime the people decide that a current elected politician is no longer worth, they can take the action to vote them out. The last time I looked - although I do not live in Massachusetts - Mar...
