Reading that, it occurs to me that I've already forgotten who those non-canon characters you referenced are. So few of the characters managed to really make much of an impression. Though we'd probably disagree on some of the details, I would also rate it in the 6ish/C-ish range. I never expected it...

Look at you with the secret account! [emoji12] I had a lot of practice with TORc ;) Twitter is my dopamine (or adrenaline, some days) drip, but it is admittedly not a "social network" in that it's impossible to build a community there. Twitter... I signed up for an account when it first m...

I agree. Forums are way better than fecebook. Not many of the old forums left, and most of those that are have fallen into ruin. For some reason after my original fb account got hauled off to FB-Guantanamo (still pissed at Zuckerberg about that) in the dead of night in March 2021 and was killed abou...

I wrote this summary up on Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza a while back and thought I'd also present it here. Credit to Boromir88 there for starting the review thread with these Catagories: Visuals/Special effects, Costumes/Make-up, Acting, Plot, Writing/Dialogue, Music, Themes/Motifs, and Overall...

Time ran out in 2020. Now we are living in the post-temporal world. For a given value of "now."
Love it!

Guess I dropped in again.

I show up here to post on occasion... usually when I see it mentioned on HoF. Same name on both places just so the lynch mob knows who I am. Oh yeah... don't care one way or the other whether this place stays or goes. You could charge $4.99 an month to subscribe and participate? https://i.im...

Yes, he has retired. Here is his announcement of his retirement from touring. One of the good things about facebook is when the actual people write their own pages, like Arlo Guthrie and Burton Cummings of the Guess Who. Been following those guys for some time now. And Alice Brock ... remember Alice...

I've been really into Heilung after I came across a Castlefest TV video of them. I have their song Lifa on heavy rotation in my Pagan Euro-folk-metal playlist.

This is sad. :( He was only six days younger than my oldest son. You wonder what gets into their heads...

I really liked him in Lords of Dogtown.

Are you referring to the Green Ronin deal? Yes, its pretty cool. Too bad I don't have the time to get into this sort of gaming anymore. I understand that the Black Company books are a real hit among the soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, and that copies of the paperbacks get read and passed a...

Syd Barrett, rest now. Set the Controls for The Heart of the Sun and Shine On you Crazy Diamond! Syd was the driving force of getting the band together initially, but his brilliant but fragile mind was pushed over the edge by his increasingly heavy use of LSD in 1967. As a kid I remember seeing Syd ...

It was a different time and there was a different mentality on both sides. A point to note is the 80/20 firebombings of Tokyo and other Japanese cities killed & wounded more civilians than either of the two nukes did. (80/20: 80% Incendary bombs to start fires, 20% timed fragmentation bombs to k...
