I only saw the ads, but. When an author hands you a noir character dropped into a Tolkien/Schwartz crossover, and you go make... whatever that was supposed to be? Go write your own story or wait until Pratchett has been dead a hundred years and his fans are tired of faithful adaptations.

Too bad, because Richard Dormer could pull off a canon Vimes.

I guess I was hoping that some Pratchett fan would tell me it was not as bad as it looked.

So the entire first season of The Watch has been broadcast. Has anyone here seen it? I keep forgetting about its existence.

Maybe I need to suspend my Netflix subscription and subscribe to BBC for a while. I absolutely refuse to have more than one TV subscription at a time.

So there actually was an Alice Nutter - an innocent woman hanged as a witch in 1612. Was Agnes Nutter based on her? I assumed that Pratchett and/or Gaiman had made the name up.

I found this on Wikipedia:
Quote:
A BBC docudrama based on Pratchett's life, Terry Pratchett: Back In Black, was broadcast in February 2017, starring Paul Kaye as Pratchett. Neil Gaiman was involved with the project which used Pratchett's own words. Pratchett's assistant, Rob Wilkins, said that Pratchett was working on this documentary before he died. According to the BBC, finishing it would "show the author was still having the last laugh".
This is the first I've heard of this. Has anyone seen it?

It rings a bell but I don't remember if I watched it.
