Mmm, maybe Rune and I can make a deal--she comes to a ska concert with me, and I'll willingly listen to Evanescence and Lacuna Coil for the entire length of the drive up. :P Although we can't leave Ags behind, so we'll have to see how it'll work out.

Elsha, also, if you're interested the Edgefest is coming up. Its a big concert set up by 102.1 THE EDGE, a modern rock station that's incredibly famous here in TO. The headlining band is Our Lady Peace followed by some other groups, noteably: Hot Hot Heat, mobile, neverending white lights, evans blue, and others. Tix are like $25-$50 at a decent venue (though if it rains you get wet :D ).

This is the 20th year of the Edgefest. I'm going to try to make both Edgefest I and Edgefest II this year. Yellowcard fronts the second Edgefest followed by Hawthorne heights, all american rejects, story of the year, matchbook romance, illscarlet, anberlin and others. This is the 20th year of the Edgefest, always big events here. The socond one is on July 16th...

For the brief period between 1997 and, say, 2001, I watched Much Music constantly and EdgeFest was like a bloody wet dream. I still have so many performances and interviews from those summer events on tape. Canadian music was amazing at that time. Too bad I'm not familiar with the bands these days. There is no longer a point in attending any festivals. Oh well, I had fun at the time.

Remember SnowJob? :D

Well I can't say I'm very familiar with any of the teams from Edgefest I, and even if I was there at Edgefest II, I'd have to say *puke* to Hawthorne Heights and All American Rejects.

I'm not sure how much money I'll be able to spend on concerts either, I'm already spending a fortune on plane tickets and hotel rooms and LUSH this summer. So we'll see! It'd be really awesome to make Reel Big Fish though. :D Just not sure it'll work out.

The new Rx Bandits album: 1980

Hawthorne Heights, hmm... nope.

Reel Big Fish are playing with Streetlight Manifesto and MxPx this summer. I haven't seen MxPx in a while.

Rancid are playing in NYC at the end of August. Four shows. The first with H2O, the second with the Slackers and the fourth with Big D. The third is with bands I've never heard of, so I'm skipping that one in this list.

Its essentially Blink 182 but without the same musical quality. Some of their stuff is good, its just a couple notches duller than Blink 182.

Try the song, "The Adventure". It will give you a good idea of what they're like now.

Just a bit. :D

Incidentally, I'm a little put off with Angels and Airwaves ever since Tom DeLonge said that their new album was "the greatest modern rock album in history" or something. I think he did one too many drugs with Blink-182, because he seems to have gone cuckoo. I don't care for a lot of their music I have to say, but it's more of a personal taste thing for me. It's a lot more like Blink's self-titled album than it is any of their previous stuff. It sounds nothing like "Dude Ranch" or "Cheshire Cat" which are my favorite Blink albums.

The Blink self-titled album . . . you can thank Boxcar Racer for that influence. I like both though.

I liked Boxcar Racer. I was pissed when B182 split even though I had never been a huge fan.

What I'm really looking forward to is the release of Billy Tallent II, Billy Talent's second album. Their first was one solid piece of work and I really like them!
