Could be, but I thought I looked at it and thought it sounded like a legit email. Or something. I'm sorry that I don't remember exactly why, but there was a reason I thought it sounded like a real person.

Well, I just deleted Mcgee, too. That email did truly look legit (gmail with a person's name), but "he" posted a very random thread in the Turf about "ASCI" [sic] characters with directions to "click here to see more."

I'm taking a risk here, but I think Lulu of the Valley is legit!

Hi! Thank you for allowing me to post here! Please don't delete me! I'm not a spammer or a bot. I'm Dawna and I found my way here by accident a while ago. I thought this place looked comfortable. I have visited a couple times and read some of the threads, but I couldn't get a registration to work the last time I tried. I was going through my saved bookmarks and was checking some before deleting them, and decided to try registering again. Anyway, I don't know how much I will be around, but will try and visit regularly.

Hi ToshoftheWuffingas! Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I'm a Tolkien geek, and other fantasy/sci-fi worlds as well. Looking forward to the Hobbit movie I am, yes! I'm into costuming so may dress up for the premiere. Not sure yet as I wont do it alone and dont know many who would want to. We'll see.
