But I still want to take up with Din the earlier discussion about Greek influence on early Celtic culture, and I'm very interested in the courtship story.
I was reading Tolkien's translation of Gawain and the Green Knight and found his description of Guinevere that was dumped almost word for word into the description of Arwen in the Hall of Fire when Frodo first sees her. I think these interwoven influences are tremendously interesting.
